Vampyre System

This system is inspired from Vampire: The Masquerade, a tabletop role-playing game (tabletop RPG) created by Mark Rein-Hagen and released in 1991.

The goal was to add vampires into Ultima Online, and creating a new vibe of horror throughout the game. Vampires are meant to be a new "race" in which the player can opt out by curing the infection. This is something humans need to be scare of, as elder vampires can infect someone while they fight!

Operations
01
The vampyre drains life (50% chance) when attacking. (Default: + 2-4 HP)

The experience gained is equal to the number of HP drained.

Each drain costs 4 blood points.

The vampyre must bite to regain blood. (Default: +50 blood points / bite)

Sun does NOT affect the vampyre hidden in the shadows (Obfuscate)

The vampyre gains experience when he drains life.

The vampyre needs blood to drain life.

If the blood is 0 and the vampyre fights, he poisons himself. (Frenzy)

The vampyre becomes sensitive to the sun when he reaches Generation 5 (Ancillae)

The vampyre receive a night buff of +5 in all stats (Fortitude) and -5 during daytime.
Commands
.Vamp
Displays the vampyre main menu.
.Blood
Displays your blood bar.
Blood is used for each attack (4 blood points).
A vampyre who fights without blood poisons himself automatically. (Frenzy)
The maximum blood pool increases according to the Vampyre Generation.
Each hit costs blood. But each hit drains life.
The player can fill his blood pool by drinking the blood of creatures or humans, by force, or using blood potions.

Displays the vampyre experience menu.
The gump displays your current level, the experience gained and the experience necessary for the next level.
The vampyre goes up in Generation when he gains levels.
Visual Effect for each level up.
.Bloodheal
The vampyre uses 20 blood to heal 20-25 HP.
.Bite
Command used in combat only.
Mana drops to 0 after each bite.
Need 25 mana to bite.
The vampyre bites its prey at the speed of light and from an incredible distance. (Celerity)
+50 blood points for each bite on Humans.
+25 blood points for each bite on Creatures.
Bite Effect: Bleed Attack. The vampyre has 20% to generate a bleed attack upon biting his ennemies.
A Generation of Elder vampyre or greater has a 4% chance of infecting his opponent during a bite. (Embrace)
.VampireForm
The vampyre transforms himself into a bat.
The player fly at the mount speed.
This drains the vampyre mana to 0.
You cannot use this polymorph while hidden.
You cannot polymorph on your mount.
You need to be an Enochian Vampyre to use this command.

Defense of
the sacred haven
A mystical darkness blankets the vampyre, keeping the baneful light at bay. The effect of the ritual last for 5 minutes and prevents the vampyre from being damaged by the sunlight.

Deflection of
The wooden Doom
Prevents the vampyre from being stake. Surround yourself with a circle of woods. At the end, places a wooden splinter under your tongue. The effect last following dawn or dusk.

Masquarade Of
The Beast
Sculpting of the flesh and bones allows the kindred to shape their body and hide their inhuman nature to mortals. You appear like a human to others for a short duration time.

Wake with
Evening Freshness
The vampyre communicates with the dead; Whispers from another realm that reach to the kindred ears : After performing this ritual, receive one notification when a hunter is hunting you.

Principal focus of
Vitae Infusion
The ritual imbues a quantity of blood into a potion. After the ritual, the vampyre may use the potion to quickly get half of the blood back.

Having been a big fan of Ultima Online (UO), I designed a server from a forgotten era, customising the game to my taste, coding day and night. Using Java. This is something to be proud of, as the learning curve was huge, and I understood many of the fundamentals of programming.

The server is down but can still run.
